SKID ROW (Reuters) - Elmo was found dead today in his Los Angeles home, apparently by his own hands.  After several failed attempts of overhauling his image following his "tickle me" campaign, Elmo was reported to have slipped into a dark depression as a result of his acting failures.  A video was found repeating on the TV adjacent to where his body was found.  This video, a personal sex tape, confirmed last month's  tabloid allegations that he had had relations with an unnamed Nashville man.  These tabloids had initiated Elmo's breakup with long time girlfriend Zoe from Sesame Street (pictured below).  Along with the video a suicide note was found in which Elmo offers an apology to the Nashville man, a Kevin Hoffman, and Elmo's long time girlfriend Zoe.  In the note he says that he could no longer bear to live a double life loving both of them and offered apology for any pain he caused either of them.  The aforementioned video was recently leaked onto the Internet where its downloads have surpassed that of the Paris Hilton sex tape.   Elmo was set to turn thirty five next month and unkown to him the cast of Sesame Street was preparing a birthday suprise episode to thank him for all he has done over the past few decades.  This episode has obviously been cancelled, in its place a memorial episode of Sesame Street will be aired next week in his honor.

Zoe expressed grief upon hearing of Elmo's sucide and has declined any further media contact.  No response has been confirmed from the
Nashville man.  Close friend Big Bird state, "This comes as a great shock to all of us here at Sesame St. Elmo was such a kind loving person we never would have expected this in a million years.  I personally feel I have lost a part of myself in his death."
